Desanders

desarenador

The desanders are particularly recommended for separating the sand and earth entrained by the water that are later treated in the hydrocarbon separators.

OPERATION

Dirty water with a high content of solids is intercepted in the desander, where it is held back, so the sand and earth are deposited.

What is a desander

A desander tank is a structure that is located near the wastewater collection area. For example, in a treatment plant this would be at the beginning of the process and the objective is to retain, extract and separate the sand, gravel, earth and the rest of the solid material. This sedimentation is filtered for further treatment.

By separating sand, sedimentation and heavy matter and particles from the wastewater, the desander prevents them from ending up in the system. If this material accumulates, it can cause obstructions and abrasions in the pumps and the rest of the installation.
