ROXPLUS: regeneration station for wastewater treatment

Wastewater reclamation plant
The ROXPLUS regeneration station is a set of systems for wastewater treatment similar to a domestic system, from which quality water is obtained for reuse by means of membrane technology
The system complies with the requirements of Royal Decree 1620/2007, dated 7th December, whereby the legal system is established for reusing treated waters. These items of equipment are manufactured in compliance with the standards of BS-4994:1987 (British Standard Specification for Design and Construction of vessels and tanks in reinforced plastics) and Spanish Standard UNE-EN 976.
ADVANTAGES:
- Compact equipment. Oxidation, filtering via membranes and recirculation in one single item of equipment.
- Saving network water.
- No need for decanter.
- High effluent quality.
- Small implementation surface area.
HOW A REGENERATION STATION SYSTEM FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS
THE SYSTEM IS CARRIED OUT IN THE FOLLOWING STEPS:
-
BIOLOGICAL OXIDATION:
The biological decomposition of the organic mat- ter takes place in the biological reactor thanks to the provision of air and the generation of aerobic microorganisms. Unlike the case with conventional total oxidation, higher concentrations of solids are worked with in the reactor, in such a way that more oxygenation is required and as the sludge is older, higher purification performances are obtained.
-
FILTERING:
Filtering by membrane technology is used to bring about separation of the solid-liquid, the solids and bacteria being left on the outer wall. A suction system is used to exert a vacuum pressure on the membranes creating an inflow-outflow in such a way that the water seeps through the membranes, leaving the solids, viruses and bacteria retained in the outer wall.
The sprinklers create an ascending airflow that makes it possible to clean the surface of the ou- ter wall of the membranes and guarantee aerobic conditions. -
RECIRCULATION:
Returning sludge to the reactor, to make the concen- trations in the two reactors equal.
-
CHLORINATION (OPTIONAL):
The treated water is chlorinated with a dosage of sodium hypochlorite, ma- king it possible to conserve the sanitary properties of the effluent guaran- teeing the reuse of the water for residential use.
Accessories of Regeneration station
Submersible pump for pumping sludge from the safety reservoir
Accessory included
The recirculation pump performs the function of returning to the regenerating station, the sludge built up in the safety tank.
Reactor blower
Accessory included
The turbine has two functions:
- To provide air to the biological reactor to conserve the aerobic conditions needed to enable the microorganisms to degrade the organic matter.
- To create sufficient agitation to guarantee that the microorganisms remain in suspension.
Permeate extraction pump
Accessory included
The purpose of the permeate pump is to extract the water through the membranes. This operation is performed at a constant flow rate controlling the permeate intake pressure.
Membrane blower
Accessory included
The turbine has two functions:
- To create a flow of bubbles that enables the entrainment of materials deposited on the surface of the membranes carrying out ongoing cleaning.
- To provide the air needed to enable the membrane compartment to function as a second reactor.
Regenerated Water Recirculation Pump
Accessory included
The recirculation pump has the function of pumping the regenerated water to the chlorination system and returning it to the accumulator tank.
Roughing grille
Accessory included
The purpose of the automatic grille is to guarantee the retention and separation of particles of more than 3 mm, which could damage the membranes.
Submersible pump for recirculation
Accessory included
To make the biomass concentrations in the reactor the same as the membrane bioreactor.
Flowmeter
Accessory included
To regulate the permeate flow.
Pressure transmitter
Accessory included
To control the transmembrane pressure.
Pressure range: -1 bar to 0 bar.
Chlorination equipment
