Catch basin – Digester / Septic Tank

digester septic tank

Closed tank in which sludge is in direct contact with domestic wastewater passing through the structure. Solid organic matter is partially decomposed by the action of anaerobic bacteria.

DETAILS

The digester septic tank receives all the domestic wastewater from the house and pretreats it. Composed of two compartments in which the decanting (faster than in a septic tank) and the digestion of the organic material present in the wastewater take place. Anaerobic bacteria, without oxygen, are responsible for metabolising organic matter by gasifying, hydrolysing and mineralising it.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT

Septic tank: Anaerobic biological treatment of domestic wastewater

This septic tank system allows the anaerobic biological treatment of domestic wastewater. It complies with the European Regulation CE annex ZA EN 12566-1, (PREFABRICATED SEPTIC TANKS). These equipments are manufactured following the standards of BS-4994:1987 from 75 H.E. (included) and with “handlay-up” lamination for equipment with less than 60 H.E.

System performance is estimated at a 35% reduction in DB05 and an 87% reduction in MES. This equipment is especially suitable for treating wastewater from facilities in which a high discharge quality is not necessary.

Its installation is also recommended before the wastewater treatment plants (ROX) to pre-treat the water and increase the overall performance of the installation.

This septic tank model is made up of two compartments in which sedimentation and digestion of the organic matter present in the wastewater take place. Anaerobic bacteria, without the presence of oxygen, are in charge of metabolizing organic matter, gasifying, hydrolyzing and mineralizing it.

Filter

The septic tank filter works from the microorganisms present in the water and thanks to the contribution of oxygen, through natural draft. This process is carried out with the oxidation of organic matter.

The use of a high-performance plastic filler provides greater effectiveness to the process. In addition, they avoid maintenance problems due to the use of mineral filler.
