Hydrocarbon Separators Class I
A hydrocarbon separator is a system for treating water polluted by oils of mineral origin, whose density is equal to or lower than 0.95 g/cm3, which are completely or virtually insoluble and unsaponifiable.
Note: the treatment is not applied to separate emulsions in stable fats or animal & vegetable oils.
This system has to be installed in service stations, mechanical workshops, garages, carwashes, etc.
Hydrocarbon separators are manufactured following the instructions contained in Spanish Standard UNE-EN 858-1.
